The Latest: NYC Cop Could Face Department Trial for Slaying

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS NEW YORK — Jun 2, 2016, 4:47 PM ET

The Latest on the call by family members and community advocates demanding someone be held accountable for the shooting death of 18-year-old Ramarley Graham (all times local):

4 p.m.

New York City police officials say it is too soon to say whether a white officer will face internal charges for the shooting of an unarmed black teenager who was killed in front of his grandmother and 6-year-old brother.

First Deputy Police Commissioner Benjamin Tucker said Thursday that the case against Officer Richard Haste is still being reviewed.

Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio says he would not prejudge the outcome of the New York Police Department's internal proceedings.
