Guardian article, today

how police treat black activists vs white nazi/racist activists in California. I do not know how to shift link here. So that makes me just frustrated. If I could get a PM to state, simply, if simple, teach, me how to do this procedure I would be a happy camper.

If you're on a PC, click in the address bar on your browser to select the URL of the story, then press the control key + c to copy. Come here and press the control key + v to paste.

On a Mac it's the command key instead of the control key.

Does that help?

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/may/25/neo-nazi-rally-california-stabbing-police-target-black-activist

Cedric O’Bannon tried to ignore the sharp pain in his side and continue filming. The independent journalist, who was documenting a white supremacist rally in Sacramento, said he wanted to capture the neo-Nazi violence against counter-protesters with his GoPro camera.

But the pain soon became overwhelming. He lifted up his blood-soaked shirt and realized that one of the men carrying a pole with a blade on the end of it had stabbed him in the stomach, puncturing him nearly two inches deep. He limped his way to an ambulance.

But the police did not treat O’Bannon like a victim. Records obtained by the Guardian reveal that officers instead monitored his Facebook page and sought to bring six charges against him, including conspiracy, rioting, assault and unlawful assembly. His presence at the protest – along with his use of the black power fist and “social media posts expressing his ideals” – were proof that he had violated the rights of neo-Nazis at the 26 June 2016 protests, police wrote in a report.

None of the white supremacists have been charged for stabbing O’Bannon.

“The judicial system is supposed to find the people who attack me, and they come after me with all these crazy charges,” O’Bannon said in a recent interview in Oakland, where he lives. “It’s outrageous.”

This is why it is so important for us to stay organized and properly trained. Mix the older folks with the younger folks, clergy with nonbelievers, black and white, gay and straight, just everyone on the side of right.....and have every single camera on and running! Even if they don't take our word, they won't be able to steal ALL of the footage.
I'm glad that Cedric O'Bannon's story is being told. I'm sure that there are many others that have shared the same experiences, too. Thanks for the recommendation, heaven05.

the sneaky racists like AG sessions have to be confronted continually, now. Keep an eye on your 6, so true, metaphorically or otherwise.

We have to stay united as a front, all affected minorities and cultures have been offended by these clod hopping racists. Period. Strategies must be developed to turn this ship of state before the trumpsters run it off the edge of the world. Small joke there, I hope at their expense.

On this Memorial Day, my red, white and blue is flying. For the many KIA-WIA in all wars that have kept us americans American. At the point, we are now in our history.

July 4. I will make that judgement at the appropriate time. Meanwhile all this memorial day weekend, I will be taking a knee. Takes me a minute to get off my knee.
