1. I enjoy cozy mysteries.
There is no want for intrigue, and the characters tend to grow on you. Their reserved enough not to shock your senses to short circuiting, which I find to be an easy going distraction in these times.
#45 and his agents have afforded enough shock, dismay and convolutions of reality, to cause everyday life to feel like a thriller. I'd say Cozy Mysteries, offer enough of the mundane enhanced with nuances of story telling to offer respite. |

3. Cozy mysteries are my bedtime reading.
I love them. For some reason, I find them comforting. Thank you, Sheltie, for your recommendations. I wonder if they are an extension of my Nancy Drew/Secret Garden childhood reading.
