Such gorgeous places. That one in Sichuan, China really is surreal. And there's Powell's! I buy books from them, online. Shakespeare and Company, Paris, has won my heart. Wish I'd known about it when I was there, so many years ago.

I was disappointed they didn't have Coas Books in Las Cruces. New Mexico's largest independent bookstore, with more than 500,000 books in stock. They have new & used Books, CDs, DVDs, Vinyl, VHS, Audio Books, and Games. I know someone who lives right by there who loves it.

I have only been to Powell's one time, but could have spent the whole week there. That NM bookstore sounds like a dreamy place to visit. Libraries, bookstores and cat shelters are my favorite places.

ETA: Oh, and then there's City Lights in SF, CA, which I have only visited one time. Could have spent quite a bit more time there, but my traveling companion wasn't much for literary stuff.
