The Song of Fire and Ice

Has anyone else read the Game of Thrones series? I just finished book five today and I just can't believe how amazing it was. I realized after I finished that the author is not done with the series so I'm waiting on the last ones, but damn what an amazing ride!
If you have not read these books, do it now!
For the night is dark, and full of terrors.

I just don't know if I wan to go through it all again. I know I want to re-read the last one or two before the next one comes out. I don't know if I can go back to the beginning though.

I'm just all geeked up right now. Books are like drugs to me, I start getting withdrawals after I finish reading something good.
My husband had to leave the house because I'm spoiling it for him, but I can't help myself.
If this man dies before he finishes the series, like some other authors I'm mad at, I will resurrect him like Uncat and force him to do my bidding.

I know it is a lot of pages, but I that's almost not why I don't want to go back to the very beginning. I don't know if I want to read about Winterfall in those times before Ned went to King's Landing again.

ETA I'd be like a kid at a horror movie "NO don't open that door!"

I can't read the first one again, ever.
The first time I was shocked, I actually cried.
No you're right, can't go back to winter fell. Nobody can.

I read Book 2 ahead of watching Season 2. Then read Book 3 and am now watching Season 3. As soon as Season 3 ends I will read Book 4.

Its kind of hard to wait to read the next book, but I like watching the series and really understanding what's going on.

I love the books.

Then it all went so horribly wrong. I got so into it I'm like, "where are my dragons! "
So I said screw it, read the last two books this week. Now I'm pissed at GRRM for not writing fast enough. What if he dies before he finishes? I'll kill him.

Stephen King's Gunslinger series. Luckily, after 20 something years we have closure.

I hope it doesn't take that. GRRM can't survive that. I'll finish up the gunslinger series now, since I have time. I'll have to start over.

But obviously the saga is incomplete, since he added book 4.5 (_The Wind through the Keyhole_) last year.

Was dedicated to SOIAF. I felt like I'd run a marathon at the end.

I did manage to scare up the three Dunk & Egg novellas, too, from _Legends_, _Legends II_, and another collection I forget the name of, just for completeness. (Dunk and Egg start about 85~90 years before _Game of Thrones_.
