Listening to White Fire, the latest Pendergast from Preston & Child. One of my favorite characters, along with Jack Reacher.

Just finished listening to Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan. Fantastic book. Should be read along with The Circle by Dave Eggers.

Finishing up The Good Thief's Guide to Berlin by Chris Ewan. I had read Safe House a few weeks ago and just started in on the Good Thief's Guide series. Entertaining, light. Not sure if that's an insult to authors, but it's still a fun read.

In the middle of The Shortcut Man by P.G. Sturges. Reading this because of an endorsement by Michael Connelly in an interview in the NY Times. Connelly also had a blurb on the front cover. The cynic in me wants to say these are paid endorsements, but who knows. A bit of LA noir, a little choppy, but I'm enjoying it.

Not so compelling as the original but overall a good read-one of his better works in years.
