1. this paragraph that Adam Schiff writes

said so much to me. It is about Trump and how he has been so successful at endangering our democracy. Here is the paragraph:

snip

What made this man so dangerous? What had he done to the country? How, in three short years, had he been able to so completely remake his own party, get it to abandon its own ideology, get my friends and colleagues to surrender themselves to his obvious immorality? How had he caused us to question ourselves, our values, our commitment to democracy, what the country even stood for? How had he been able to convince so many of our fellow citizens that his views were the truth, and that they should believe him no matter how obvious the lies?

snip

After I read this paragraph, I realized that as much as we loathe trump, he does have a special kind of genius. It is the kind of "genius" that is the opposite of what we think of as good. Notice how Adam packs so much into this paragraph. He obviously has thought about this a great deal, because he covers all the bases, from corrupting others to convincing people that the trump way is the truth.

As a writing teacher, I say this is a succinct summary of why trump is so dangerous, but it does so by asking questions.

Before the House Judiciary Committee and the House Intelligence Committee, that Mueller seemed to have changed so much in the past two years. Schiff didn’t use the word „cowed“ but that’s what it sounded like.

I wonder if the Mafia, I mean the office of the POTUS and his minions, threatened Mueller.

I’m listening to this book on audiobook.

That might make more sense than what I thought. I was thinking it was old age.

Minutes ago I finished the book. I was listening to it on audiobook.

Some parts were difficult to get through such talking about the parliamentary stuff related to the committee hearings and impeachments got kind of dry but I managed to muddle through and I strongly recommend the book.

It is unconscionable that the Republicans tolerated so much shit from the Dotard and would not vote to convict him in the second impeachment.

I thought it was great. That and the Woodward book are the best ones I've done so far. (I also did audio on Schiff's book.)
