1. A superhero show filmed in full sunlight?

This actually looks quite watchable. I like the fact that Jimmie James Olsen is in on her secret.

And what a genuine, infectious smile she has!

2. Read an article today about Age of Ultron on wired

that is complaining about Josh Whedon killing the "stupid popcorn movie" genre.

Anyway, your comment reminded me of this paragraph:

Moreover, Whedon has a remarkable gift for taking extremely silly subject matter just seriously enough to make you feel something. He’s not Christopher Nolan or Zach Snyder, thank God — no movie posters that look like Trent Reznor threw up in a clown car, no excruciating pseudo-realist interludes in which we have to sit there and contemplate the dark enormity of Batman’s feeeeeeelings — but he can balance an adult awareness of how silly comics are with real, emotionally resonant character work.

Entire article--worth reading for a moderately good point and a couple more good laughs.

5. Can't wait for the episode where she finds the Omegahedron

I actually watched the whole trailer. Looks very cool, and almost makes it seem like DC is starting to get the hang of things.

That is, the fact that everything doesn't need to be shot in post-midnight blacks and dark blues and grays.

7. DC generally does good tv shows, both live action and animated

Arrow and the Flash have been solid and their animated stuff (especially the older stuff) was top notch. I heard Gotham wasn't particularly impressive, but I haven't seen it yet.

Marvel has managed to do really well on the movies (Iron Man 2 not withstanding), but their tv stuff has generally been pretty bad. The non-Marvel produced movies have been hit or miss. I'm still trying to figure out who thought turning Galactus into a giant cloud was a good idea so I can go slap them with a dead fish for example.

8. Three words: Birds of Prey

And then there's The (90s) Flash, Superboy, and Lois & Clark. Smallville on balance wasn't bad, but it became too bogged down IMO. Arrow's supposed to be pretty good, but I can't get into it. The current incarnation of The Flash looks excellent, though, and the forthcoming Future Legends (or whatever it's call) looks promising as well.

Of course, compared to Agents of Shield, even the worst of DC's offerings looks like a work of pure cinematic genius, so credit where due.

The Daredevil series on Netflix sets a preposterously high bar, though. It'll be hard for another series to top it.

10. Gotham isn't really about superheroes, and I believe

That is where it loses the average comic book fan. It's more drama oriented than action oriented.

Personally, I like it, but I wouldn't let my little ones watch it until they're older. It's a bit more adult themes than other DC shows.

Keep a good storyline going it will be a good show. It's a well rounded cast with a lot of dynamics.

Unlike other DC shows, this one seems to fit within the movie timeline.
