Nashville school shooting: Police seize guns at home of attacker

Three children and three adults have been killed in a shooting by an ex-student at a school in the US city of Nashville, Tennessee.

The attack took place at The Covenant School, a private Christian school for students aged three to 11.

The three pupils who died were all aged nine.

Police said the suspect gained entry by shooting through a door at the school. A search of their home led to officers seizing more firearms.

The child victims have been named as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney.

The adult victims were named as Cynthia Peak, 61, Katherine Koonce, 60, and Mike Hill, 61.

The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Audrey Hale, officers said.

Three nine year old children are dead. Can we please do something about guns and mental health other than offering "thoughts and prayers"? Another in a long line of senseless murders that could have been prevented. I fear we are all becoming numb and indifferent to shootings like this. We should not and cannot accept this as being just part of life or normal now.

They said it was the first in two decades. Nothing in it could stop this? Obviously true but I’m just so confused as to why a bill did nothing at all.

their logic - protection from the over baring Federal Government who wants to take your guns away which they consider is their gawd given right.

If you or your love one dies it's faith. These people are seriously sick.

All the while gun manufactures, NRA, GQPs make tons of money, and when there are massacres, it obviously not the gun's fault.
