Know any good websites that explains faery mythology?

I've got an idea in my head for an urban fantasy and I'm trying to see if there's a faery or mythological creature of some sort that returns a soul to the body. I'm looking for good sources online if possible (if not then suggestions of books that may work).

TIA!

One could argue that Billy Crystal is a god, so valid point made. justiceischeap Jan 2012 #2

no editing, just reading for spelling, dialogue flow.. Viva_La_Revolution Jan 2012 #8
Well, while not fairies, the movie "Avatar" comes to mind. HopeHoops Jan 2012 #4
Did they do this in Avatar? justiceischeap Jan 2012 #5
Not directly (and not a spoiler) - but they had a tree they used for the purpose. HopeHoops Jan 2012 #7
I have a few links, but I don't know much about fairies. kentauros Feb 2012 #9

and Billy Crystal of course...

on edit, perhaps a familiar in the form of a fairy or whatever. Familiars can be a connection to your soul that brings it back when every other tie is severed...

I didn't know faeries could be familiars. That's an interesting idea. Care if I use it?

what do you do as a proofreader? I'm familiar with people doing beta reading (from fanfiction) but not all their services are the same.

I used to read for friends way back when, before we had spell check etc. No one uses humans anymore, and I miss it

Besides, if it doesn't exist, make one up and call it what you want!

Here I thought I was coming up with a fairly original idea and I'm coming to find that's not so.

I'd suggest asking for information from folks in DU's ASAH (Astrology, Spirituality & Alternative Healing) forum, too

A Compendium of Faery Folke
The Heirarchy of the Seven Rays
Nature Spirits of the World
Nature Spirits
Internet Sacred Text Archive (do a search on "fairies" for a fair number of hits)
Indigenous Peoples' Literature - with a section on Gaelic Myths/Legends

There's also a book by Judika Illes titled "Encyclopedia of Spirits" and if you're going to be doing anything involving spiritual mythology, I highly recommend it!
