There is usually one every year but I don't notice one.
It's about over but there are some picks left for today. What do you think of the pick(s) your team made, who do you want your team to pick? Did they pick who you wanted?

picked Malcolm Floyd. Can't say I'm surprised, he is only 1 of 2 they were expected to pick. The other guy was Riley Reiff who I guess by going to #23 wasn't high enough for the Cards to pick.
If he contributes in a big way, it is a good pick. Otherwise, they have Andre Roberts & Early Doucet who are young developing receivers.
Believe it or not. They don't have a lot of weaknesses. They are solid in secondary & linebacking. They have a stack of running backs & receiving seems to be solid especially w/ Floyd. They do need help on the O-line & unless they can sign Calais Campbell, they'll need D-line help. Campbell has an x-factor, makes big plays with his outstretched arms. He has blocked a few kicks, once intercepted Vick in a crucial point of the game by stretching his arm behind that O-line and bringing it down. He has numerous passes batted.
They do need better QB play but I can't imagine putting themselves better off in this draft when they have Kolb & Skelton. All one has to do is outplay the other and we should have a good QB.

(13,211 posts)But Arizona cut its left tackle, & looked to not sign RT. YOu got very good corners, and 2 good DE, Def coach from Stellers should be very good, he improved the Dee last year..
About 3900 passing yards last year between 2 QB's.
2 TE's, 1 young the other Vet.

(17,086 posts)All of a sudden NE is loaded at LB. Maybe we can finally get some pressure on the QBs and help out the secondary!

Thats a potential 4000 yds, Brandon Jacobs could add 400 rushing 400 receiving. I hate the 49ers, but theyre headed back to the Conf championship game.

"For the first time in 29 years, the Dolphins placed their biggest bet in the craps game that is the NFL Draft on a quarterback.
The Dolphins took Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill with the No. 8 overall pick in the draft Thursday night. Tannehills the first quarterback the Dolphins have used a first round pick on since they chose future Hall of Famer Dan Marino, who played more seasons and games than anyone in Dolphins history, with the penultimate pick of 1983s fabled first round."

(17,086 posts)History says one will be great, one will be average, and one will be a bust. Which one did Miami get?
Or is it 1983 again?

(29,322 posts)2011 - #1 Newton (Carolina) - #8 Locker (Tennessee) - #10 Glabbert (Jacksonville)
1999 - #1 Couch (Cleveland) - #2 Akili Smith (Cincinnati) - #3 McNabb (Philadelphia)
1971 - #1 Plunkett (Boston Patriots) - #2 Archie Manning (New Orleans) - #3 Dan Pastorini (Houston Oilers)
Also Culpepper was taken #11 in 1999 and there were 3 QBs in the top 11 in 2004, Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, and Roethlisberger.
In 1983 there were 2 QBs in the top 10, #1 Elway & #7 Todd Blackledge (Kansas City). Jim Kelly, Tony Eason, Ken O'Brien, and Marino were picked #14, #15, #24, and #27. I bet Kansas City wished they could take their pick back.
No point, just some random info.

(22,340 posts)They traded down a pick to get 3 more and got the exact type of Safety that they need. Then they shored up their OL with a guy that has crazy-fast feet and will do well to protect our developing QB.

But whether he was worthy of a second-round pick, Wilsons perseverance cannot be doubted - his father was murdered when he was just 1, and his mother drowned at a pool party when he was 12.
...
Everybody has to overcome adversity, he said. Ive overcome a lot of things in my life, and thats why at the end of the day I am the person I am today - I never get too high or too low, I just keep working all the time and take everything one day at a time.
A team captain who started all 13 games for the Illini last fall, Wilson switched between safety and cornerback during his collegiate career. As a junior, the team had an injured safety, so he played there; as a senior, given the choice by his coaches, he chose cornerback because that is where his team needed a player.

Belichick didn't have to go get this guy in the second round, but he did. It should make a huge difference to his signing bonus. He's the kind of guy we all want to see succeed.

(29,322 posts)Osweiler can throw the ball well & is quite mobile though I thought he should have stayed another year to develop his skills but this is probably the best situation to be in if you do leave early, behind Peyton Manning w/ an opportunity to pick up a few things and learn how to read defenses. I'm not surprised Bolden was taken 4th despite spending the entire 2011 season injured and most almost the entire 2009 season. He worked extremely hard to recover from injury earning praise from teammates. He has blazing speed and was an All-Conference CB the full season he did play.
He has done this more than a few times.
He actually did it twice in that Wisconsin game but a holding penalty negated the 2nd return.
I'm biased but I strongly feel Denver got a steal with this pick despite the injury cloud floating over him.
