Celtic's vs. Heat Game 1Last edited Tue May 29, 2012, 08:47 AM - Edit history (1)
That was one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen. As you all know I am not a Celtic fan and I think the Celtics ran out of gas in the second half and the Heat would have won anyway but my god was that bad.
Lebron throws his arm out on many of his drives to clear the way(like he needs it) and he never get's called for a foul. Pretty impossible to happen. Allen beat wade to the spot and Lebron got a 3 point foul when he lowered his shoulder into Petrius in the 3rd qtr. These two get protected.

1. Oh horse fucking shit.
The Celtics are the biggest fucking whiners on the planet. Every fucking call they bitched and moaned.
Fucking sour grapes form the Jealous Douchebag brigade. |

2. LeBonds is a cheater..
but you best get used to the officiating. There's not much doubt Stern wants the Heat in the Finals..

4. Really shitty technical foul called on Doc.
Even the announcers were appalled, saying it wouldn't have even been called at a high school game.

5. How was the officiating so bad?
Most of the technicals were in the first half and they were tied at the half.
They had the same amount of foul shots - 23 for the Celtics, 24 for the Heat. The problem was the Celtics were tired and old. The Heat is just the better team. |

6. The refs were horrible.
I didn't bother posting it, because it would just attract a bunch of blather and name calling by unsophisticated fans, but they sucked.
![]() It didn't change the outcome, as the Celtics were clearly outplayed, but the calls were pathetic. ![]() Five technicals in a conference finals? ![]() Bullshit! ![]() We aren't alone in our opinion, either - Stephen A. Smith just said how bad the refs were on Sportscenter. ![]() |

7. Which techs were bad?
Maybe the Doc call was bad, but the others were legit. They were warned to stop delaying the game. Technical. The rules say you can't complain to a ref. multiple technicals because they love to complain. That's what they do.

9. Doc's, Garnett's, and Allen's, at the least.
Garnett's did nothing to improve gameplay - he does that all the time, and it is truly technical nit picking. Allen was walking away from the ref - complete BS, as was Doc's. The announcers even remarked on the refs - it's not like they have called travelling or palming the ball since what - 1981?
Like I said, the refs didn't effect the outcome - the Celtics got crushed fair and square, but it makes the NBA look like it has a hard on for the the Heat in the finals... |

12. The problem was . . .
They were warned about the delay of game. He did it anyway. Not nitpicking then.
They called travelling quite a bit last night. Twice on the Heat as a matter of fact. But really if the NBA wanted the Heat to win so badly, why wouldn't they give them more fouls?? IF there is a huge conspiracy, shouldn't it be a little consistent. |

10. Nothing says your opinion is right quite like "Stephen A. Smith agrees with me!"
Seriously though, in an NBA where Wade's flooring of Collison resulted in no penalty, what do you expect?

13. I just mentioned that because he was on air as I posted.
I disagree with him all the time. Should I cite every game write-up in the Boston media? (And they all agree that the Celtics sucked and it made no difference to the outcome of the game, so don't even bother with the bias accusation.) Other than Heat fans who feel it diminishes their domination somehow, most seem to agree; the refs sucked.
