Just rewards that the only 8 & 8 team in the playoffs is Tebow's Team!

Actually after yesterdays Bronco performance, I'm surprised you're not in a cave in Tora Bora.

(41,692 posts)Jan. 31, 1999.
That was 13 years ago----errr not much better than the C-Boys.
And technically you can say that at least the Cowboys have won a playoff game in the last 12 years (Jan. 9, 2010 - NFC Wild Card - Dallas 34, Philadelphia 14) while the Bronco's have not.
Sorry dude--- you lose this one.

So both teams only won one playoff game in the last 13 years with the Boys winning most recently.
Still a wash in mho.

(29,148 posts)it stands out in a decade of mostly mediocrity --and also because I see it as the turning point that sent a quite strong franchise (the Broncos had won 10+ games for three straight years and had made the playoffs seven of the last ten) scrambling towards mediocrity. It made Shanahan too skittish on Jake Plummer, who had actually made the pro-bowl that year. Shanahan lost faith in him after that playoff game and drafted Cutler in the draft that year.
That, in and of itself, wasn't a mistake, I don't think, but when Plummer struggled a little bit in '06, Shanahan pulled the trigger on starting Cutler too quickly. The Broncos were 7-4 and a couple of games out of the division lead, and Plummer had had a pretty bad game against the division-leading Chargers, but the real problem was a defense that was starting to fade and a running game that wasn't working anymore.
It hurt everyone's career: Plummer retired; Cutler would have benefited greatly, imo, from being brought along more slowly; and Shanahan has yet to have another winning season for any team.
And, of course, the Broncos hired McDaniels after firing Shanahan, and have basically been an embarrassment since.
I agree 100%

(41,692 posts)Imagine the Broncs with a Stafford like QB... they would be good.
Fox inherited a pretty unmotivated team and turned them around.
The nonsense with Tebow has really overshadowed Fox and his coaching staff's excellent job with the O-Line and Defense..
Keep in mind the only reason they could come back in those couple of games is because the Defense kept it close.
Not so much the last couple of weeks though.
