but Alabama is scary good, especially on defense. I love watching them play even though I hate Alabama. I feel the same way about the Seahawks & 49ers. I'm actually rooting for them to play in the NFC Championship. I prefer tough defense, balanced offense teams to be rewarded.

I think Oregon would probably have been a tougher team simply because their defense is great and would probably hold Bama while being explosive just enough to score more points. Oregon's lowest score of 17 would be challenged in the game, however.

ND did beat the Pac-10 champion Stanford and the #2 Team in the Big-12 during the course of the season, and Alabama basically put the exact same whoopin' on #18 Michigan at the start of the season.

It's almost the same score as in 2006 when Florida blew out the then #1 Ohio State 41-14.
