(17,086 posts)Hinsdale County is the third least densely populated of the 64 counties of the State of Colorado of the United States. The county population was 843 at 2010 census.[1] The county seat and the only municipality in the county is the Town of Lake City. Hinsdale County is named for George A. Hinsdale, a prominent pioneer and former Lt. Governor of Colorado. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinsdale_County,_Colorado

(20,365 posts)I must admit that I am a part of the Texas invasion. In 1962 and '63 I went to Ute Trail Boys Ranch just to the north of Lake City in Gunnison County. All of the boys and staff were Texans as was the owner. Then in 1980 I moved to Colorado permanently.
