Surely there must be some FF players here who want to talk shop?
One of my late round sleepers, Bilal Powell was just promoted to starting RB. He's going to get me a lot of points, but not in week 1.

(9,002 posts)No Fantasy there either.
There was this http://www.democraticunderground.com/12101404 and I do understand.
I'm already playing. I just assumed their would be threads (or a whole group) about, "who should I start this week" and so on.

(1,695 posts)If your into a 2nd opinion everyone and again I suggest ya check out @FantasyGuruBro on twitter. He offers some solid advice. Always answers questions and has a helpful website. I like him because he's not swamped with followers and he's more accessible that way. Fabino is a great fantasy guy, but good luck testing any advice other than oblivious start picks. Wow Mike, I couldn't have figured out to start Calvin Johnson.. Just wow.

(1,695 posts)Both of them cause more grief than help. However, I do understand your joy at a late-round pick named as a starter. I myself picked up D. Richardson in the 6th in one my leagues. I expect great things. Maybe da Jets won't suck as bad this year......maybe

(9,002 posts)But the only thing they can do is run, so the number 1 back will played during certain weeks.
I have Chris Johnson and David Wilson starting. All 3 are playing stout run D's so will just leave the starters in and see what week 1 plays out.
Michael Floyd is another sleeper. I figure with Palmer at QB and Fitzgerald getting doubled he should have a breakout. Moved him from the bench to starting lineup (along with Randall Cobb and Miles Austin in Flex) to replace Steve Smith.

(1,695 posts)Last year I used Andre Roberts with Fitzgerald getting the coverage. He worked out well. I mean, the QB situation in AZ was a big hindrance. But I agree, with Palmer it should be a whole new offense. The ball will get spread around. M. Austin is my flex for 1 of my teams too. It's a toss up between him & L. Moore for my WR/TE flex spot. It'll be a constant thorn in my side every week. I won't know who to use. Here's my lineup from my League I started with some buddies. 12 man PPR.
QB,RB,RB,WR,WR,TE,WR/TE,K,DEF we avoided the trip flex tho I wanted it. The nays won in a vote
1. Adrian Peterson (MIN - RB)
2. Vincent Jackson (TB - WR)
3. Dwayne Bowe (KC - WR)
4. Owen Daniels (HOU - TE)
5. Colin Kaepernick (SF - QB)
6. Daryl Richardson (STL - RB)
7. Miles Austin (DAL - WR)
8. Lance Moore (NO - WR)
9. Jermaine Gresham (CIN - TE)
10. Justin Blackmon (JAC - WR)
11. Chicago Bears (CHI - DEF)
12. Josh Freeman (TB - QB)
13. Isaiah Pead (STL - RB)
14. Sebastian Janikowski (OAK - K)
15. (K) Stevan Ridley (NE - RB)-Keeper from last season.
I'm just staring at my links waiting...

(9,002 posts)Here's my team and what I'm currently at for Week 1 (subject to change - I keep waffling on the TE)
PLAYER POSITION FF PLAY
Robert Griffin III, WAS QB START
Chris Johnson, TEN RB START
David Wilson, NYG RB START
Randall Cobb, GB WR START
Michael Floyd, ARI WR START
Miles Austin, DAL WR START
Jared Cook, STL TE START
Houston Texans D/ST DST START
Randy Bullock, HOU K START
Tony Romo, DAL QB BENCH
Bilal Powell, NYJ RB BENCH
Pierre Thomas, NO RB BENCH
Steve Smith, CAR WR BENCH
Malcom Floyd, SD WR BENCH
Jordan Cameron, CLE TE BENCH
Dallas Cowboys D/ST DST BENCH
And I'm itching to ditch Pierre Thomas (who was picked up after the draft to replace my final pick Justin Blackmon). Rashad Jennings (OAK) is currently on the scrap heap and if McFadden gets hurt I think he'll be the guy.
Inkfreak
(1,695 posts)I thought maybe Blackmon would have value later on as a bye week or trade material. But I don't wanna hold on to him or 4 weeks. I've got my starters and bye week fillers, so those spots will be rotating various waiver pickups I like. That's a tough call at TE for ya. Betcha Cameron will have a nice uptick in yardage while Gordon's out.
Oh, and sweet haul with Griffin AND Romo...
Capt. Obvious
(9,002 posts)I can't stand Romo but he's good for fantasy points.
I'm the only member of the league who drafted two defenses
I grabbed Houston first - I figured they're pretty good, better with Ed Reed, and they play in weak offense division (save for Indy - maybe).
I'm hoping Dallas D looks good and people come looking to trade. If not, I can play them on Houston's bye at least.
Should we start weekly Fantasy threads to give advice to each other?
Inkfreak
(1,695 posts)I could talk football all day. And fantasy advice is always welcome. I pore over articles and such, but I'm sure I miss all types of good info.
RG3 will shine again this year. I'm certain. I watched that guy play often and what always caught my eye was his arm. Yes, he can run. But I see him completing passes without setting his feet or even throwing on the run for 20+ yards with incredible accuracy. He's gonna be dangerous, which sucks for my beloved Eagles.
I'm riding Bears Def in my main league. And playing the matchups in others. In fact, I'm going with the Colts this week.
It all starts today. Good luck!!
