RB Anthony Dixon tweets: "49ers prepping for 'She-Hawks'"

San Francisco 49ers running back Anthony Dixon apparently isn't worried about tweeting bulletin board material for the Seattle Seahawks ahead of the teams' Sunday night showdown.

Dixon, a fourth-year player whose season high for carries is 70 as a rookie in 2010, posted his thoughts about the 49ers facing their NFC West rivals on his Twitter account Wednesday night.

He tweeted: "Extra weight on the racks all week getting less sleep preparing for these She-Hawks I love hostile environments Imma feel right at home..."

Dixon deleted the tweet Thursday morning, but not before it had been noticed and reported by several media outlets.

Still ignorant, though, right before the Super Bowl?

I think they could have been looking ahead already to this game.

I keep going back to Week 16 of last year when Seattle won 42-13. It wasn't even that close -- they dominated totally.

Are you suggesting the Seahawks will try harder now? A rather odd conclusion if that's the case..

Looking at the schedule before the season, I had this game down as a loss because it's tough to play there even when Seattle is bad...with the return engagement going to the 49ers....

What bothers me more is that it's sexist.

so yes, that's what I'm suggesting. They have added incentive to kick ass. So do the fans.

I sure don't. Each club has real substantial goals in which the other team stands squarely in the way. The 49ers have material of their own anyhow..remember Brandon Browner saying he'd like to "put my hands around his neck" in reference to Harbaugh? Golden Tate made some comments about hurting him as well..

I was coming home listening to the Seahawks station (KIRO), and they're already referring to it as the most anticipated regular season game in Seahawks history. Hyperbole, sure..but they're hyped, no added incentive is needed for the Seahawks or their fans..
