St. Timmeh and the Browns: A match made in...

...Cleveland?

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/three-reasons-why-cleveland-browns-could-still-chance-144900298--nfl.html

With nearly two months remaining in the regular season, it's certainly possible that the free-wheeling Browns could still end up taking the ultimate gamble -- signing Tim Tebow. These are three reasons why:...

When Campbell was hurt during the first quarter of Cleveland's Week 9 win over the Baltimore Ravens, you could almost hear a pin drop at FirstEnergy Stadium, but that quiet was soon replaced by boos and the collective groan of a Browns fan base that knew what Campbell's injury meant -- that Brandon Weeden would have to enter the game....

The reception Weeden received upon his entry this past weekend is just more proof that he has worn out his welcome in Cleveland. I'm no Tebow fan by any means, but at this point, I'd rather see him over Weeden as Cleveland's starter if Campbell were to go down. ...

With the trade deadline having passed last week, the remaining pool of available quarterbacks with NFL experience is a veritable wasteland of players such as JaMarcus Russell that never lived up to their potential, guys like Vince Young who simply flamed out, and then Tebow, who deserves a category all his own.

And what category would that be? Moose who try to make love to major appliances?

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/green-bay-packers-wisconsin-brett-favre-matt-flynn-170000587--nfl.html

With Rodgers injured, the season has effectively become one cataclysmic broken play. And there's no player, maybe in the entire history of the NFL, that can handle a broken play better than former Packer quarterback Brett Favre.

This story has set itself up so beautifully that it may have been written by a higher power. The next step is for Packers GM Ted Thompson to step up and hit this meatball out of the park.

With a single personnel move, Ted Thompson could eliminate all the bad blood that ever existed between the Packers and their former quarterback Brett Favre.

All Thompson needs to do is swallow his pride and invite Favre back for the stretch of time that Rodgers is on the sidelines. And by invite, I mean do whatever is necessary to get him on the field for Green Bay.

edit: Peckers!
