So glad this is the last year, at least for the main bowls.

I have no idea how the other bowl games make any money. The stands usually have 5000 people in them and the teevee audience can't be very big.

And there's what, 40 bowl games or something. There was one game on and the ad showed the teams' records. Their combined record was 15 and 11 and they're playing a bowl game. Really?

But most of these games are the sort of thing only a mother or a real addict could watch.

When you get to the top 8 or 10 teams there might be some interest. The Alabama/Colorado game had some interest because one figures there are a few players in that game that will be on NFL rosters soon. But even so, it isn't particularly interesting to watch teams that can't even make a basic tackle.

nowadays. Lots of reasons for feeling that way, but the BCS is part of it.

Seriously, I agree 100%. And I was shocked that the Rose Bowl, featuring #4 vs. #5, wasn't even on network TV in many markets in Big Ten country. Maybe if there were an SEC team playing...

I'm supposed to be watching the Orange Bowl now and anticipating a ridiculous halftime show... *hmph*

Be sure to tune in and watch Oklahoma lose to Alabama (an SEC team) on ESPN.
Also catch Auburn (an SEC team) play against FSU in the tile game on ESPN.

I seriously can't believe how biased and full of shit people can be.
