Watching CC in the homestretch here made me wonder if he's likely to be caught in the last furlong of the Belmont... In other words I'm a little unsure of his stamina. Thoughts?

just like sooooooo many others over the years. Another horse was running him down at the end of the Derby, too.

I think he can do it. His running style tells me that he can lay just off the pace, conserve his energy and stay out of trouble. He had to start his move early yesterday because of Ria Antonia and Calvin Borel. He probably did get a little tired in the stretch but, Ride On Curlin wasn't gonna catch him. None of the horses he's faced can beat him in the Belmont. Some new shooter with a long pedigree that comes from way back might get him but CC always runs his race and makes his own luck.

Remember, Smarty Jones would have probably won his Belmont if he hadn't run off with Stewart Elliott and burned himself up giving a plodder like Birdstone a chance. Spectacular Bid was burned up by Ronnie Franklin's shitty ride chasing that long shot and Coastal caught him. So I guess I feel like Chromie has a great chance of getting this done. Victor will not make a stupid mistake like Elliott and Franklin.
