I support who I support. Maybe I'm a Bronco fan because I like their uniforms, or once had a really good meal in Denver... Hell maybe I think snowballs are easier to make using Colorado Snow; who knows or cares why I support the Broncos?

Question your own belief system and stop worrying about mine. That way, we'll get along just dandy.

One man's belief system isn't enough to sway me one way or another. If a player wanted to kneel on a rug and face east during the game to pray to Allah, I'd care not a whit as long as it didn't keep him off of the field when he was expected to be there. If another player demands kosher Gatorade as refreshment during the game, who cares? A Santoria Shrine behind the bench? No skin off MY nose...

Even though I'm not much of a fan of their QB. I root for Champ Bailey, DJ Williams, Miller, and the running game.

Someone sent me this bit in an e-mail yesterday. They used the Bible passage you posted. It was you who posted it, right? Anyway, it is over the top, and it rings of copycat tone in relation to the SNL bit. Still...

"Dear Tim Tebow,

I'm sorry to break this news to you at this late date, but football is not my priority. I don't interfere in the outcome of games, whether the game is football, hockey, poker, or tiddly winks. Even God has to leave some things to fate or the odds, or whatever lingo you want to use. In truth, what kind of God would I be if I spent time worrying about football?

I mean, you folks are destroying your brains, but you make good money. You have no earthly wants or needs. Among seven billion people, you're doing all right.

Heck, if football was a priority for me, it would seem that I would have been helping out Drew Brees or Aaron Rogers, or even Tom Brady. I mean look at the year those guys had. Wow!

When it comes to your team, you should be thanking your defense and your running game. I haven't had a thing to do with it.

Oh, it seems that you missed this passage in your Bible studies:

Matthew 6:6: "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."

Hey, don't take it too hard. Everyone makes mistakes. You are forgiven, but please take this to heart. Now, I don't mean to be entirely obvious. Mystery is my thing, after all. Still, come on, man. We can talk in private now and then, too.

OK? All right.

With Divine Love,
God"
