Perhaps spurred on by Napier’s comments this spring, the NCAA has since passed legislation to address the issue.

On Tuesday, the NCAA Legislative Council decided that Division I student-athletes can receive unlimited meals and snacks in conjunction with their athletics participation. The rule, which applies to walk-ons as well, is in addition to the meal plan provided as part of a full scholarship.

This is crazy it took the NCCA so long to address. Even way back in the 70's our high school football coach saw the problem and instigated supervised pre-game meals because too many players were opting for junk food, or incomplete meals, before games.
