Investigators Have A Second Video Of Tony Stewart Hitting Kevin Ward Jr.

http://deadspin.com/investigators-have-a-second-video-of-tony-stewart-hitti-1620724937

The obvious question is whether criminal charges should or will be brought against Tony Stewart for his role in the death of Kevin Ward Jr during a sprint car race on Saturday. We won't know that for a while, but we do now know that police have video from a second angle of Stewart's car fatally striking Ward.

Bob Pockrass of the Sporting News reports that according to Ontario County (N.Y.) Sheriff Philip Povero, investigators obtained a new video on Monday, separate from the one that appeared online hours after the incident.

It's not clear what that video shows, but it appears not to have been made public; police had appealed for anyone who filmed the night's event to get in touch. The first video, which was initially uploaded to Youtube, shows the moment of impact, but very little of Stewart's actions immediately previous.

...this writer has stuck his head. Ignoring darkness, a neck restraint device that limits peripheral vision, mud on windscreen/goggles, dark clothing of the victim, poor lighting, and other factors-any criminal charge would require intent. How does one form criminal intent in the fraction of a second between the car in front of Stewart swerving to the left allowing Stewart to see the victim and Stewart striking the victim?

gets me about all this is how ESPN is NOT playing this up, like they would with any controversy...it's not their top story...not even the day after it happened. To me this is huge, regardless of whether it was intentional...it's a huge safety concern that needs to be addressed.
