As has happened too often in my sports-fan lifetime: there's always next year.

But it doesn't help right now, I know.

What I mean is, it'll be close in SF, I think Nawlins would have trounced them at the Dome.

according to the NFLN, Green Bay is the first 15 win team in NFL history to go one and done in the playoffs...Congratulations!!

I mean, if it were the Cowpies, I could see that, but, c'mon! The Pack is the only publically-owned team.

I'm not a Giants fan but they were a hot team with a great quarterback playing a slightly less hot team with a great quarterback... but a worse defense.

Defense seems to matter more in the playoffs.

The championship game will be interesting -- probably the two most rounded NFC teams (at this point in time)

I first really started watching football during the 49ers era of dominance, so that team always will have a certain mystique to me.

The Giants played well, and the Packers were off in every area.

Quite frankly, the Giants remind me of last year's Packers. They hitting on all cylinders at the right time.

I'll be rooting for the 49ers next week, but I expect the Giants to roll 'em.

It was embarrassing. And the Giants have looked good the last few weeks. I thought they'd give Green Bay a great game & could win but I didn't expect a blow out. Manning was great.

but that defense has never been good this year (I know, I know, they're a "pressure" defense--but that earned them the rank of 32nd in the league). They generally played against not so hot teams.

Though I will admit Rogers was throwing some real stinkers.

Further, it was more difficult than any of the four teams remaining.

Redgers was off yesterday, but not nearly as off as his receivers. The drops were just bizarre.

but they didn't even show up. I'd trade Finley to start with. It's pretty bad when Donald Driver, who is like 50 years old, is the only one who can hold on to the ball. And then defense ...

But I'm not ashamed to be a Packers fan this morning. Heck, I lived with nothing but incompetence from the Packers for the first 22 years of my life. I can live with a playoff beating now and then.
