but I don't think HE sucked as much as the play-calling sucked.
Come out of the locker room after the half down by four touchdowns and RUN THE BALL OFF-TACKLE?
Hello.
Drew Brees threw the ball 63 times in a losing effort.
Yeah, Tebow SUCKED. His coaches did too.
Personally, I'd like to see him at tight end.

(29,149 posts)Tebow completes 46.5% of his passes. He's more interception-prone, more fumble prone, and gets sacked at a much higher rate. Tebow throwing the ball 63 times doesn't give the Broncos a better chance to win than running McGahee (who played well, btw) into the ground. Tebow throwing the ball 63 times gives the Pats a chance to score 80.
trust me---as a Phin fan these last 10 years, I've seen QB's that terrified the Offensive Play callers, hence run first, throw second.

Broncos VP of football operations John Elway proclaimed QB Tim Tebow his training camp starter for 2012 on Monday.
Brian Billick didn't think that was much of an endorsement and isn't sure No. 15 has yet gained the confidence of Denver's braintrust.
"Obviously, the Denver Broncos and John Elway don't think so, not yet," said Billick, the former Super Bowl-winning coach of the Ravens and now an NFL Network analyst, on NFL Total Access on Monday night.
"To me, that was a little weak to say, 'He is going to be the starter when we go to training camp.' "

The articler reports Tebow is currently the only quarterback under contract on Denver's active roster. So, yeah, he's the training camp starter ... by default.
Billick further opines, "He has got to cut back on that rigid, thick (frame). I know it keeps him alive as a running quarterback, but it does not bode well for his passing, the fluidity that he has to have. So that's, to me, job one in the offseason, he's got to change his (conditioning) mindset."

(45,984 posts)The only thing that annoys me about the guy is that he gets an awful lot of good press in spite of the fact he's a lousy quarterback. It's not his fault that the national media gives him more publicity than most lousy quarterbacks get.
Otherwise, there are many who are annoyed because he follows a religious faith that most people on this website (and for good reason) associate with knuckle-dragging Republicans. However, Mr. Tebow gets some of his good publicity because he does good things that his faith inspires him to do. So, he's a cut above knuckle-dragging robber barons, knuckle-dragging war criminals and even some knuckle-dragging preachers.
Give the guy a break, already.
