"The San Fancisco Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl!"

On Wednesday while speaking during a city political fundraiser in San Francisco Vice President Joe Biden gave an extremely odd Super Bowl prediction. Biden told the San Fran crowd that “the Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl.” The comment quickly drew “good-natured” boos from the pro-49ers congregation. The New York Giants are playing the 49ers this weekend in Frisco in the NFC Conference Championship.

Biden realized he made a major mistake thinking that the San Francisco Giants played football instead of the 49ers. He backtracked and said the “49ers on their way” to the Big Game.

But he didn't. He just said "Giants". And it so happens that SF's opposition Sunday is... the New York Giants.
