the legal limit...they tested all the Pats, only 4 of the Colts...in other words, 75% of the Colts balls failed, so instead of checking to see if all the balls used somehow did not pass muster at the beginning of the game somehow, or even check the handling of the Colts balls after they were checked and approved, a 5-month long witch-hunt, instigated by the Colts, which came up with lots of implications and no evidence, started, specifically targeting the Pats when the problems with the Colts balls were almost as significant.

(78,249 posts)some guy who used to play for the Dolts. Whatever happened to him? I heard he bought a few pizza franchises in Colorado.
Could this whole thing have been a setup by the Dolts to deflect attention away from themselves?
It's also jealousy because the Pats have owned the Colts for quite some time.

Cheaters gonna cheat.

(9,527 posts)In the Wells report, starting on page 72, the process of testing the footballs is discussed at length.
First 11 of the Patriots' footballs were tested using two different gauges on each ball. All 11 were underinflated on both gauges. All 4 of the Colts' footballs passed on one of the gauges, but 3 of the 4 were underinflated on the second gauge.
So yes it's technically accurate to say that 3 of the 4 tested footballs were underinflated, much in the same way it's accurate to say that Lance Armstrong never failed a drug test. It's technically true, but a completely inaccurate portrayal of the facts.

(6,278 posts)This is about deliberately and illegally manipulating the ball pressure. That report lays out scads of evidence that the Patriots did exactly that.
There is no evidence at all that the Colts did.
And even if there were, is your argument that the Patriots are somehow entitled to break any rules they think they can get away with breaking? And that anyone who thinks insisting they play by the same rules as everyone else is just a "hater?"
Weak.

(56,177 posts)Who's to say the rest might not have been? Only one Pats football was significantly under-inflated...the report has absolutely no evidence, just assumptions and possibilities that haters latch onto...and since they had the texts, why didn't they interview the guys who sent those texts? They wanted a certain outcome, just like you do. It really amazes me that people are so easily spoon-fed their prejuidices and think they have an argument...but thanks for posting, this helps me to know I need to put you on ignore.
