WNBA players Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson tied the knot Friday in a ceremony in Phoenix, Arizona.
The couple, both 24, exchanged vows at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, surrounded by arrangements of white hydrangea, white and coral roses, and peach hypericum berries in a "desert elegance" theme, People magazine reported.

The wedding comes after Griner and Johnson were both arrested on April 23 on assault and disorderly conduct allegations in their home in Goodyear, Arizona, according to the Arizona Republic. Johnson's sister called police to report the two were throwing things at each other, and that several people inside the home tried to pull them apart.
Johnson's attorney issued a statement saying the couple apologized for the "distraction" the incident caused their families, the WNBA, fans and sponsors, saying the couple were working through hardships in a stressful time.
