1. At That Park, Only The Kingman Homer Was Bigger

He hit one that hit the roof of the porch on the second house from the corner on Kevdale north of Waveland.

That house has to be over 550 feet from home plate. On that line, the wall is a bit over 370. Then there is 45 feet of bleachers. Then outside the ball park is a 16 foot wide sidewalk. Waveland is only two lanes, but with parking wdith on both sides of the street, so nearly 40 feet wide. That's already 471, and then we have to go down the street one and half yards (nearly) wide.

And it the hit the roof of the porch so it was still 9 or 10 feet in the air when it hit the roof. My sister's class was at that game, so i was watching it on TV when it happened. Then it was replayed on Chicago TV about a thousand times.

Bryant's home run was spectacular, but it wasn't a Kingman shot. Too bad Kingman was such a tool
