James Harden Thinks He Should Have Been MVP

Rockets star James Harden came in second in last season's NBA MVP race, losing out to the Warriors' Stephen Curry. He feels he was robbed of the honor.

“I am the best player in the league. I believe that," Harden told NBA.com. "I thought I was last year, too. I know I was the MVP. That’s 100 percent given all the things that happened last season."

Curry received 100 of the 130 possible first-place votes for MVP before leading Golden State to an NBA title in June. Harden thinks that, given the hand the Rockets were dealt last year, he and his team worked harder.

While their individual statistics were similar (Harden averaged 36.8 minutes and 27.4 points per game on 44 percent shooting, while Curry averaged 32.7 minutes and 23.8 points on 48 percent shooting), Curry played on a team that finished 67-15 in the regular season.

I do believe he's one of those players who makes his teammates play better.

If LeBron did that the way Jordan did, we would have been in a world of hurt last spring.

As for Harden,
