A 180 from the 3rd game, too. While i've rooted for the Cubs since 1961, i feel for the Giants and their fans.

and those late 60's and 70's clubs were as bad as could be.

Ray Fosse, who calls the color for local (Oakland) Athletics broadcasts, says all you had to do to get traded from Cleveland in those days was to ask for a raise. Ownership was incredibly cheap.

It occurred to me earlier this week that this is the first time in my life (and i'm 60) that the Cubs have even been the postseason two years in a row. Great team in 1984. Didn't win 85 games in 1985.

Excellent in 1989, rotten the next year. Same as '94 when '95 stunk.

Now, they've won 200 games over two years. WS win or no, at least they are a really good team with a chance more than once every 5 years.
