(3,286 posts)Now that Cub fans have been appeased, in the grand scheme of things, it is the turn of the Cleveland Indians.
Eddy was a good Blue Jay and he should make the team better. I won't cheer for them but I won't be disappointed if they win the ALCS.
That said, I'm worried about the negotiating skills of the BJ front office.

(31,163 posts)They won't be able to sustain this roster under free agency rules. We're witnessing several years of good drafts, trades and a few key signings coming together. It hurt losing a draft choice but this was necessary.
Had they had a healthy Michael Brantly (CF) and Carlos Carassco (SP) I think they could have beaten the Cubs. Even without them they built a 3-1 lead and nearly took Game 7.

I think the Giants, Cardinals and Nationals have done a good pretty job of sustaining their clubs over recent years.
