Chip Kelly wants to remain in the NFL, but which NFL teams want him?

It has been more than five weeks since the San Francisco 49ers dismissed Chip Kelly as their head coach, becoming the second NFL team in two years to say no thank you to the head coaching stylings of the man who once was going to change the way offense was played in the league.

NFL head coaching jobs have come and gone since then. Offensive coordinator jobs have come and gone since then. No one has hired Kelly.

He has expressed interest in remaining in the NFL rather than taking his fast-break offense back to the college ranks, where it once was so successful at Oregon. He reportedly is not interested in the offensive coordinator vacancy at Alabama, which would create an intriguing pairing with a coach, in Nick Saban, who couldn’t make things work as an NFL head coach but is among the all-time greats in college.

If that is so, and Kelly truly is intent on remaining in the NFL, it leads to the question: Is the NFL still interested in him?
