Is it just me or is there a heavy helping of self-congratulations in all of this?
It just seems so braggartly self-aware that it turns me off
I get the good cause piece but geez!
BTW: Shame about Craig Sager, but that quote from last year's show ("Time is simply how you spend your life&quot is so dumb it makes it worse
Don't get me started on the Stuart Scott quote
I wouldn't watch that smarm fest at gunpoint

1. No empathy. You come off as extremely negative towards cancer sufferers.

Sager and Scott, IMO, both battled the disease that was killing them heroically.

My whole OP was about the self-aggrandizing nature of ESPN & THE ESPY'S
So, it's on you for going off the rails
Yeah, I mention Sager and Scott
Their maladies don't excuse a stupid turn of phrase
I didn't excuse Reagan or Scalia for saying stupid things either.
That's called consistency
You should look into it
I've read other posts by you. You're walking on thin ice calling someone else out for lack of empathy

8. AND MICHELLE OBAMA just got a standing ovation from the ESPY crowd.......

She was giving the Arther Ashe award for courage to Eunice Kennedy Shriver. THE AUDIENCE GAVE HER A STANDING OVATION!!! Mrs. Kennedy Shriver started the special olympics.....and the crowd went nuts when Michele came out. AWESOME. I think the country really misses her as well as her husband.
