Justin Timberlake to headline Super Bowl halftime show
Reuters Staff
1 MIN READ
(Reuters) - Grammy Award-winning pop singer Justin Timberlake will headline the Super Bowl halftime show in February, 14 years after a wardrobe malfunction overshadowed his last gig at the championship game, the NFL said on Sunday.
This will mark Timberlakes third time on the halftime stage, giving the Cant Stop The Feeling singer the distinction of having the most appearances by an individual entertainer, the National Football League said in a statement.
The 10-times Grammy winner last performed at the Super Bowl in 2004 when he infamously ripped off part of Janet Jacksons garment during their halftime show in Houston and briefly bared her breast.
The incident coined the phrase wardrobe malfunction
The Super Bowl is the most-watched event on U.S. television, drawing more than 100 million viewers. Previous halftime headliners include Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Madonna.

Ask why the Hell Janet Jackson got pilloried for showing far less skin than a Britney, Madonna or Miley, yet this clown gets ANOTHER super bowl show.

(9,165 posts)3. I know I'll probably be a minority of one, here
but I'd like to see the Super Bowl half time show consist of highlights from the first half.
If I want to watch the damn Orange Bowl I will. The Super Bowl ain't that.

(2,050 posts)6. Not in the slightest bit
I love women, and he still sings like a girl, I love women singers, just not men who sound like them.
Nothing sexist about it.

(4,916 posts)8. He sings like a man. Because he is one.
He just happens to be a tenor and his "bit" is to sing in his falsetto a lot. The "sings like a girl" is sexist. Own it. Am I more manly because I'm a bass II?
