'I thought it was really sh**ty': Baldwin sounds off on Sherman's ending with Seahawks
Asked about facing Richard Sherman -- his ex-teammate with both the Seahawks and Stanford, and one of his best friends -- the veteran wide receiver said "he's not that eager" for the matchup; that "it's just another game."
Then he was frank about how he felt about Sherman's fallout in Seattle.
"I thought it was really sh**ty, to be honest with you," Baldwin said. "I would have really liked for (Sherman) to stay here and had an opportunity to finish his career with this organization. It's part of the business. It doesn't work out that way."
Sherman, a three-time All-Pro, will face his old team, the Seahawks (6-5), for the first time as a member of the San Francisco 49ers (2-9) at CenturyLink Field Sunday. A stalwart of the former Legion of Boom, Sherman became a household name in the Emerald City, is arguably the greatest cornerback in Seattle's history and played an integral role in its back-to-back Super Bowl appearances. He was the voice (literally) of a Seahawks' defense that terrorized offenses in the early half of this decade.
