In response to Colin Kaepernicks continued push to return to the NFL, a workout session has been organized for Saturday in Atlanta with the support of the league office that aims to give league franchises an opportunity to judge Kaepernicks potential for a return to the league, a source told Yahoo Sports.
The source told Yahoo the workout will be a private event open to any NFL teams interested in attending, similar to the pro day events often attended by personnel departments in the lead up to the NFL draft.
Kaepernick will also be available for an interview session after the workout, with all materials including the workout video and any non-proprietary interview materials made available to any franchise that requests them.

(31,167 posts)I'd imagine even the worst backup in the league would have an advantage (over Kaep) having had at least half a year to study a playbook. Maybe if a team loses their starter and backup on the same day, though even in this scenario there's a QB from the practice squad who can step in.

(29,322 posts)For a playoff game. It doesn't matter if Ryan Lindley was on the team at the beginning of a season he was still terrible.
I can't judge him because it has been a few years but players have come back after breaks in their career like Ricky Williams, Mike Vick, Mike Williams who reunited with Carroll at Seattle.
