but who the fuck pays the ticket price to go to a game just to go swimming. If I'm forking over the cash for a baseball ticket, I'm going to watch a god damned game. I mean, she's hot and all, but I can go to the beach or something for that.

I just don't get it and I feel bad that I sound like Andy Rooney right now.

If you really think that everyone who goes to a sporting event actually watches the event, you haven't been to too many sporting events ---lately.

It's a happening... especially at a Basketball game.

Just take a look around next time you're at a baseball game. You'll see quite a few people not even watching the game---texting---chatting with their friends, etc.

That is the beauty of baseball.

I mostly go to football games and given where I live that means Lambeau where most everyone is pretty focused.

I used to go to a lot of baseball games but not so much anymore. Went to one in Boston couple years ago and that was cool. I do enjoy the laid back atmosphere of a baseball game, but, come on, a swimming pool?

I think it's pretty cool myself.

The Clevelander holds approximately 240 guests and will offer Field Level seats, ADA accessibility, select table service located beside the Marlins Bullpen, and a menu of great Clevelander classic food selections with a ballpark twist. The Clevelander will also be home to the exciting entertainment of the original South Beach location, including dancers, body painting and DJs live from the pool area. The new poolside bar and grill is available on gamedays for private events for corporations, social groups and friendly gatherings. Restricted to persons 21 years of age and older. Persons under the age of 21 may purchase a ticket to The Clevelander only if accompanied by a person 21 years and older.

figures.

So what you are saying is that the Marlins may draw 30,000, yet only 10-15,000 are actually there for the game. Sounds more like a casino than a baseball game.

Just sayin.

say about the "fans"?? If I want to go to an amusement park, then that's where I'll go. I remember the Red's drawing 3 million in the 70's and that stadium was fucking generic. They were there to see the fucking game.

Do you see that kind of shit in Fenway or Wrigley today??

You really seem intent on proving that Miami is not a baseball town. Kind of sad that Miami has to resort to gimmicks to get people through the turnstiles to pad their attendance statistics.

BTW, other that JonLP24, do we have any Arizona fans?

They increased the average age of their starting lineup by 3 or 4 years. I'm not convinced that experience will pay off. And I have little expectations for their pitchers. But who knows? The Shadow knows!

Makes sense from a revenue generating standpoint. The intent is not much different from that of a corporate luxury suite, except this includes water. Perfect for Southern Florida.
