1. That guy had such a weird career.

He was so astronomically good in his first two years, was good, but not great his third year, and then he fell off a cliff and was downright terrible.

2. Was he plagued with injuries?

What caused such a turn of events? I remember when he was really, really, good, then he kind of fell off the radar for me.

3. I wondered that as well, but it doesn't look like it.

He made 30+ starts in 2012, 2013, and 2014, but his numbers were terrible.

He had such a unique delivery, so maybe the league just figured him out???

4. He had a pretty serious hip injury...

...and was never the same.

He generated a lot of torque with his legs with an unusual delivery. It eventually put too much strain on his hip joint. When he was right he was almost unhittable. After the injury he lost the velocity and the sinking movement on his pitches.

He is a mythical character in the Giants fan community. Everyone still loves Tim.

He never has to buy a beer (or anything else) in this town...
