Orioles & Hummers in less than 10 weeks!!

I look forward to my first sighting of these beauties the first week of May. My excitement is on a higher level than with Christmas, presidential elections, new clothes, etc., birthdays, - really, nothing matches it.

Couldn't resist sending this pic of an oriole I found on line. It also tells where orioles love jelly (it doesn't say grape jelly, but I know it's their favorite), so get a jar of grape jelly handy and start to put some out anywhere, on a branch, top of bird feeder - the last week of April...

You may have your first sighting of an oriole at a hummingbird feeder, which is how I had mine about 9 years ago. And they always come back. Gawd I love 'em...

I am getting excited already.

That brings in orioles, and also warblers who go after the insects that will come to the orange as well.
