Several dozen violet-green swallows swoop overhead and the black chinned hummingbirds’ courtship dance in a clearing between junipers is mesmerizing.

we saw our first last year. Hope he visits again.

They're fun to listen to, also - robin-like, but somewhat livelier.

Along with chickadees, nuthatches, mourning doves, purple finches, goldfinches, chipping sparrows, hummingbirds and 1 pine grosbeak. In the yard foraging on the ground there are starlings, red wing black birds, grackles, robins, and juncos.
