My entire family are Patriots fans. Godmother and her husband however are Giants fans. My godmother is my mom's best friend and her husband is not my actual Godfather but I consider him as such. I watched the 1991 Super Bowl with them when the Giants beat the bills. Ever since then I have been a huge fan much to the disappointment and aggravation of my family
I am in Patriots country. There are Giants fans still around back from the time when the Patriots weren't an NFL franchise. This is why my godmother and my godfather are still huge Giants fans. Because of the amount of Giants fans in the region I am able to watch them every weekend. My devotion to them is certainly an aggravation to my family and to my wife grew up in Maine. Still I love my Giants. My godmother and my godfather are two of the most wonderful and kindest people in my life and I shared a wonderful day with them in 1991.
I don't hate the Patriots like so many do. Coming from New England I have to appreciate them but the Giants will always be my favorite team. My godmother and my godfather may not be related to me biologically but when I think of the Giants all I can think of is family
