Davante Adams placed on COVID-19 list

Bad news going into Thursdays big game against Arizona.

Packers receiver Davante Adams placed on COVID-19 list
Posted: October 25, 2021

GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Packers could be missing their top receiver as they head to Arizona for a showdown with the undefeated Cardinals on Thursday Night Football this week, as the team announced Davante Adams was being placed on the COVID-19 reserve list.

The team made the announcement on Monday afternoon.

League policy does not allow the team to comment on a player’s medical status other than referring to his status on the roster. For that reason, the Packers cannot say whether Adams tested positive for COVID-19 or if he was in close contact with an infected person.

Adams was reportedly vaccinated for COVID-19, meaning if he tested positive and was asymptomatic he has to isolate and the team will conduct contact tracing. Adams would be allowed to return once he had two negative tests at least 24 hours apart.

Adams has caught 52 passes for 744 yards in 7 games for the Packers so far this season, scoring 3 touchdowns.

My local AZ Cardinals are playing lights out, obviously, given their 7-0 record.

Meaning Covid protocols such as what sports are doing now.

It's completely evident to me that we are NEVER going to be rid of Covid. We'll be lucky to reach 70% fully vaccinated as a nation. Which means Covid will ALWAYS be out there spreading, and of course, even infecting vaccinated people.

Eventually I think we will be told that it's time to move on, and just accept 50K+ daily cases and 500+ daily deaths. Sometimes there will be spikes, double or tripling those amounts, but it will just become a fact of life in America. The vast majority have Already moved on, and are acting 24/7 like the virus is done with. That percentage will only grow, and anybody who continues to be concerned, will be told that it's just the new normal, and to get used to it.

America!!
