NBA Live Demo is available now for PS4 and XBone

I have written off NBA Live for years but decided to try the latest demo since it is free and 2K isn't out until Friday. It appears to me that Live is catching up but is still far behind. The controls are very similar to 2K and the animations are good but they still seem sticky to me. For instance, when I sprint up the court with John Wall he always dribbles behind his back even when a defender is no where near him and he slows down as a result.

I only logged two 20 minute games on the demo but I got a good enough feel that I am going to be staying the course as a 2K fan. As the the Live demo stands now it is pretty and a decent basketball sim but inferior to 2k15. Unless 2K16 takes a big step backward there is no reason to go Live this year.

Just my two cents as basketball season nears - WOOT!

EDIT - Played on PS4

with the advancement of game engines, 2k is far from live. but you have to give cred to ea for trying.
