Anyone ever heard of "Spirit Science?"

Last edited Wed Feb 5, 2014, 01:27 AM - Edit history (2)

Spirit Science is a collection of different spiritual beliefs. Most of them are "new age" beliefs. The videos explaining what Spirit Science is can be found on You Tube. What really makes Spirit Science stand out, though, is how laughably absurd it is.

Ideas to viewers include:

-Jews are from outer space

-Anybody who has hardship actually willed it to happen. Everything bad that has happened to you was your fault.

-The Egyptian pyramids defy the laws of physics and are symbolic rather than just being tombs.

-All sickness, including HIV, is invented by the human mind.

-Heavy use of discredited research, such as stating that writing letters on a glass of water has been proven to change that water's properties.

-Heavy abuse of QUANTUM!™ physics

-Everybody has the ability to predict the future, and knowing what your friend is going to say 1/2 second before he does is proof of this.

-Everything exists on different wavelengths (with a hilariously misused wavelength chart as proof).

-You actually leave your body when you fall asleep through astral projection.

-Some nonsense about aliens, Atlantis, chakras, crystals, etc.

Sadly, anyone who points out how stupid this is better prepare for an onslaught of sheep insulting them. Supposedly, another idea in Spirit Science is that questioning Spirit Science leads you on the path of becoming a lesser being. Yeah, totally not cult-like.

Even the creator of Spirit Science demands unquestioning drones, and attacks anyone who questions him as ignorant and bigoted. He'll draw you in one of his cartoons as a mace-swinging brute, and claim that you're just being ignorant. His answer to your doubts about his stupid "religion" is that you should sit and listen to him, because you'll eventually become indoc-*ahem* realize what he's saying makes sense.

But because it's newer and not enshrined in current culture it's dismissed as absurd, even by those that already believe other equally absurd things.

This is what you're saying is comparable to any religion.

As always rug, it hasn't been fun, so I'm done playing with you. Go on and feed your last-word compulsion. You know you need to.
