The program was "developed in 2013 with a goal in mind to provide children the opportunity to experience the outdoors while surrounded by godly influences."
I just don't see the connection...really, I don't.

(146,218 posts)There are evangelical groups that are turning their attention towards the environment.
They believe that the earth is a gift from god, that we are the guardians and that we have a responsibility to care for it.
That's a good thing, imo.
This, OTOH, does not appear to be one of theses.

(2,654 posts)I have nothing against hunting, and I think that it is alright to introduce youths inclined toward the sport to it. However, the child in the photo seems a bit young for a hunting outing.
As for the what the webpage touts, following a religion and appreciating the outdoors, I do not see any significant connection between the two.

(9,116 posts)...to want to Christianize everything that interests them.
This isn't that unusual. A few years back, a group of Christians were trying to make a "Christian guild" on my World of Warcraft realm.
Christ taught them they should devote the entirety of their energy to pursuits that glorify him. Being a decidedly enterprising and hypocritical type, they toss Christ into whatever leisure activity they prefer as a means to justify their continued participation. "It's alright if I sit down and play WoW until my eyes bleed, I'm in a Christian guild, so I'm killing kobolds for HIS GLORY. Hallelujah!"
