We really have no way to tell if someone sincerely believes their own bullshit. But plenty do, and that's scary enough.

Copeland has his own private airport next to his private mansion and it's all naturally tax free. Copeland paid the FAA to commission his own private instrument approaches to his private airport and he pays the FAA to periodically certify them for use. The problem is that unless he makes his airport public use, someone can built a communications tower on his private approach which would decertify it. So even though Copeland doesn't want transient aircraft using his private airport, he makes it public use out of necessity.

The great part about this is that Copeland's airport is one of the few in the area that has crossing runways which makes it ideal for practicing crosswind landings. The other two notable examples are DFW and Dallas Love, neither of which will allow touch-and-go practice landings. So when I want to go out and practice landings in my plane, I go to Copeland's, and naturally I show up at the crack of dawn. While on the downwind, I fly right over his mansion knowing I've just woken up everyone in the place. It's too bad he doesn't have a PAPI on his main runway, or I'd practice night landings there around 2am.

Another perk in using his runways for practice landings is the scenery is great.

to blast an air horn out of your window when right over the mansion? You know, to scare off any ducks on approach.

But I don't know that it would be all that effective anyway. My plane is quite loud when it's close to the ground anyway. I have an adjustable pitch propeller which means I can vary the engine RPM at a given power setting. If I were concerned about noise, while in the pattern I would pull the RPMs back to a point at which the tips of the prop don't go supersonic. This greatly decreases the noise. But since there's only one home in the area, I just leave it at full power.

You have lots of old people who are too feeble to make the trip to church every Sunday, so they get their god fearing done on the TV. Unlike local preachers who are more limited in membership, mass communicators have a much larger flock to fleece.
