Atheist trolls Christian conservatives for Sam Bee: ‘I’ll pray for you?’ ‘OK, I’ll think for you’

Samantha Bee’s “Full Frontal” watched as firebrand atheist David Silverman of the organisation American Atheists joined the right-wing conference CPAC to troll Christian conservatives with logic. A few years ago they were ejected from CPAC, so what happened this time when they threw him in with people supporting “small government and big god” was a thing of beauty.

In every movement there’s a “firebrand,” which is essentially a fancy way of saying a**hole. The militant jerk that gets people’s feathers all ruffled by asking them questions that make their brains want to explode is the perfect way to get an angry response from a hypocritical Christian. Armed with a table set up in the exhibit hall, Silverman displayed posters like “keep your theocracy out of my democracy.” He hit back against Gen. Richard Clark who said “there are no atheists” by outright calling the comment absurd and offensive. “Anyone who doesn’t begin his day in prayer isn’t fit to be Commander in Chief,” he read aloud to another man. “That is a very horrible thing to say.”

“Religion is a lie. A scam. A con. It has no redeeming values and it has no place in today’s society,” Silverman explained to the camera. He explained that the fastest growing demographic among the “religious” category are non-religious with 56 million people. Ignoring those voters would be a huge strategic mistake politically, yet it doesn’t influence anyone at CPAC to see the light when it comes to logic. “Stop saying, ‘Hey, atheists! Go away!'” Silverman tried to explain to a group of men.

“The conservative coalition, with its disparate components, has always been a platypus, stitched together with other platypi to create a platy-franken-pus,” an animation in the video explains. “Now it’s rotting at the seams collapsing into a festering pile of platy, frank and pus, feasted on by orange maggots,” meaning Donald Trump. “This oozing and tropic goo might present a nourishing culture medium for the atheists at CPAC, but many were unhappy to see them.”

People who recruit at CPAC really shouldn't think for anybody.
