The atheist radio program Freethought Radio has been axed in Madison, Wis., the victim of a format change.
In its place? Twenty-four hours a day of Christmas music.
Its like getting run over by reindeer.
The Freedom From Religion Foundations radio show has been unceremoniously yanked off the air locally, says the groups press release, released Nov. 11.

There's a station near me that started 24 hour Christmas music right after Halloween.

(135,425 posts)3. Well, that's certainly ironic....
If they were pulling in huge numbers, they could be metaphorically shooting people on 5th Avenue, live and on the air, and they'd keep their show.
They were probably not drawing the minimums to make the show profitable to the network.
They should move to the net--wider audience, boutique listenership.

I like Christmas sacred music but 24 hours of it I think not.
