Some Religionists Appear to Say:

"I do not care a whit about science. I have faith, and that's enough for me. So don't tell me about science. That's meaningless to me."

Some.

And yet, some of those same people will argue with others who share information about science. They will say, "There is no proof of what you are saying. It is just speculation." When asked about the proof for their religious beliefs, they will say, "I need no proof, for I have faith."

Some of those same people will also scoff at evidence that supports a scientific hypothesis or theory. They will say, again, "There is no proof." And again, when asked for evidence of their beliefs, they say, "Faith is all the evidence I need."

With some people, conversation and discussion is impossible, really.

Or they read an excerpt and proceed to attack the author and the poster.

Some people will insist that their thinking is evidence based, but react badly when it is pointed out that there is no evidence.

Signed,
Some People

And yes, with those people, discussion is impossible because they have already decided that those who disagree with them are delusional, or psychotic, or childish, or not intelligent enough to appreciate what is called rational discourse.
